Reporting to: Head of Production
POSITION PURPOSE:
To coordinate all activities in the production area, thereby ensuring compliance with CGMP standards as per the standard operating procedures in place.

Key Roles/Duties
Supervision
· To implement SOPs for production and report if any deviations are observed to the Production Manager.
· To check the in-process control parameters of production.
· To ensure the implementation of the environment norms of various production areas as defined and get the deviation corrected by the utility department.
· To ensure implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule for the equipment and machines in the department.
· To check the yield at various operational points to improve the result through correct implementation of SOPs.
· To implement CGMP norms in the production area and also during manufacturing and on a continuous basis.
· Oversee all production operations, cleanliness of the area, all documents, and staff.
· To oversee cleaning operations in the department by cleaning contract team & report to the Head of Production.
· To plan for manpower requirements for casual workers in the department apart from the packing section.
Training
· To check availability of trained staff and casual workers.
· To supervise trained staff and workers working in their respective positions
· To review and suggest periodic trainings wherever required.
· To ensure the training of staff on the changes in SOPs from time to time
Communication & reporting
· To report the abnormalities on daily basis to the Production Manager
· To inform machine breakdowns to the Utility department and Production immediately
· To implement the monthly plan received from the Head of Production.
· To regularly update the production manager about activities in the production area.
Documentation
· To check and update all documents in the area of work to meet the requirement of the cGMP.
AUTHORITIES:
Planning of contract labor requirement shift-wise in coordination with the head of production.
Develop and review SOPs.
Olan and ensure execution of training of all personnel in the section.
Appraising staff in the sterilization section.
Verifying the contract labor headcount month-wise and approval of payment.
Ensuring safety and proper execution of all activities in the sterilizer section.
Requisition of required materials in ERP and getting approval from the Head of Production.
Communicating the production-related issues to the head of production.
Verifying performance of cleaning contract activities in the Production department month wise and forward the report to the Head of Production.
Raising of purchase requisition for materials and equipment necessary in the department and getting approval from the Head of Production.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 years’ proven experience in a similar role
Bachelor’s degree in science or related course
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Basic safety training
Basic GMP training
Advanced excel training
