about the Role
Adara Development is seeking a Finance Assistant to:
Manage daily mobile money payments and the petty cash register of Adara Development (Uganda) (DEVU)
Maintain financial entries in the Accounting System
Monitor and evaluate financial policies and procedures
Assist Adara to meet its compliance and statutory requirements
Otherwise support the Finance Officer as required

About you
Relevant degree or diploma in business, accounting or economics
A minimum of one-year experience in a relevant role
Knowledge of key compliance and regulatory bodies in Uganda, including the Ugandan Revenue Authority
Experience using accounting software to manage payments and reconciliations
Computer literate, and experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
The ability to work on multiple tasks and in a complex environment
Strong understanding of, and ability to follow, internal controls and procedures
