Silverback Lodge is hiring a Back of House Manager ensures the unseen operations run smoothly. This role is the backbone of the lodge’s logistics, managing housekeeping, maintenance, and supplies in a remote location where every resource counts. You’ll keep the lodge humming so guests can focus on gorilla treks and forest serenity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping staff to maintain pristine rooms and facilities.
• Manage inventory (e.g., linens, cleaning supplies) and coordinate deliveries despite Bwindi’s isolation.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance tasks, from plumbing to solar power systems (common in off-grid lodges).
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in a forest environment.
• Work with the Head Butler to align back-end support with guest needs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in hospitality operations or facility management.
• Organizational skills and problem-solving ability—Bwindi’s remoteness demands resourcefulness.
• Basic knowledge of sustainability practices (e.g., waste management), a plus in this eco-conscious lodge.
