Are you passionate about regenerative agriculture, water harvesting systems, renewable energy access, and working directly with smallholder farmers to build commercially viable, scalable and impactful business models?
Rootical is hiring a Field Operator to support in piloting a business model that combines syntropic agroforestry, water harvesting systems, solar energy access and presence based market systems in Soroti, Uganda.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Implement and maintain syntropic agroforestry and water harvesting systems.
- Operate and maintain solar powered irrigation systems
- Train and support smallholder farmers in implementing the model and regenerative practices
- Monitor systems, collect data, and troubleshoot field issues
- Work with community agents (“Water Mayors”) to ensure smooth service delivery
Based in: Soroti, Uganda
Duration: 6 months (with potential to extend)
Stipend included (for meals, transport & basic expenses)
