Job Title: Human Resource and Administrative officer
Department: Administration
Reports to: Human Resource Manager
Supervises: None
Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the effective and efficient management of the organization’s human
resources and administrative functions. This role ensures compliance with HR policies, provides support
in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and handles day-to-day administrative
duties to ensure smooth office operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support in the recruitment and selection process including job postings, shortlisting,
interviewing, and onboarding.
• Maintain and update employee records, personal files, and HR databases.
• Coordinate employee orientation and induction programs.
• Support in the implementation of performance appraisal systems.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
• Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and handle related queries.
• Assist in resolving employee relations issues and disciplinary matters.
• Prepare HR-related reports as required (headcount, turnover, training logs, etc.).
• Coordinate staff training and development programs.
• Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.:
• Manage office supplies and inventory; ensure timely procurement and restocking
• Maintain up-to-date records of company assets and ensure proper usage.
• Organize and support internal meetings, events, and documentation.
• Ensure a safe and conducive working environment in compliance with health and safety
regulations.
• Handle general correspondence and manage office filing systems.
Person Specification:
A. Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or a related field.
B. Work Experience
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar HR/Admin role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality
environment.
C. Competencies and skills.
• Knowledge of hospitality labour laws, HR practices, and industry compliance standards.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with hotel HR systems or time attendance software is
an advantage
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed (including weekends or holidays during peak
periods).
