MEDICAL INTERNSHIP FY 2025/2026
The Ministry of Health has started the process of admitting medical interns into the internship training program to ensure quality and smooth management as follows:
- All prospective medical interns are required to apply for Temporary Registration to their respective professional councils by the end of 30th May 2025
- The Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council, the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council and the Uganda Pharmacy Board are required to compile the names and submit registered candidates to the Uganda Medical Internship Committee by 13th June 2025.
- Applications shall not be received at the Ministry of Health Headquarters.
- The Ministry of Health has the mandate to deploy medical interns to available training centers according to the capacity of the training centers and availability of trainers.
The purpose of this notice is to inform all prospective medical interns and the Professional Councils/Board to heed the timelines of the above process to enable seamless commencement of medical internship 2025/2026 on time by 1st August 2025.
