About us: Nurture Africa is a & rights based& non-government organization (NGO) whose mission is to work with vulnerable families to improve their growth and development through health, education, human rights, community empowerment systems strengthening programs using a rights- based and holistic family centered approach.
Position Summary:
Provide healthcare to women of childbearing age, including prenatal care, childbirth education, and other tasks as assigned.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Labor Support: Monitor progress and provide emotional guidance.
Postnatal Care: Ensure health of mother and baby, including feeding support.
Prenatal Care: Conduct antenatal assessments.
Health Screening: Offer periodic screenings.
Transfer of Care: Facilitate referrals to other facilities.
Family Planning: Promote family planning and proper nutrition.
High-Risk Pregnancies: Identify and refer to specialists; provide health education.
Education and Experience:
Diploma in Midwifery
Minimum two years’ experience in a similar busy role.
