REPORTS TO: FUNCTIONAL-HEAD SALES AND MARKETING, DIVISION-GENERAL MANAGER
Job Purpose/Objective
To manage all the sales and marketing activities for the plant. To develop and monitor the performance of all sales activities in the market to ensure achievement of set targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in developing the departmental strategic objectives, work plans, budgets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure that all the targets are achieved.
Participate in making daily and monthly sales projections and forecasts for all products and provide daily and monthly performance reports to the supervisor
Participate in developing business plans, sales and marketing strategies to retain existing customers, attract new customers and achieve the company’s sales targets and profits
Liaises with Finance, Production and Dispatch Departments on sales related activities and ensure timely delivery of products to customer.
Ensure collections of all the sales made.
Frequently conduct research and development surveys to identify competitor’s strength and weaknesses, understand customers’ needs, keep track on product price updates and strategies, develop new products, identify sales opportunities and attain a bigger market share.
Implement efficient strategies to ensure that all customers (wholesalers, retailers and distribution channels etc) are timely and properly served and their needs are satisfied.
Oversee and coordinate all marketing activities and initiatives like exhibitions, trade fairs, promotions, advertisements and merchandising etc and ensure that they retain customers, attract new customers and bring in increased sales and profits in-line with the applicable marketing strategies.
Participates in all internal and external audits and manage all audit related issues accordingly.
Maintain rapport with key accounts by making regular visits, explore specific needs and anticipate new opportunities.
Ensure full visibility, distribution and accessibility of all company products in all regions and shops accordingly.
Supervise and train the reporting team
Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to the supervisor.
Any other duties allocated by the supervisor
Education Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or any other related field, from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning
A Post Graduate Diploma or a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Sales and Marketing or any other related field from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning
Certificate /professional qualification in Sales and Marketing is a requirement.
Minimum 5years experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company

Knowledge of various laws, regulations, guidelines, procedures affecting a manufacturing organization.
Budgeting, strategic planning and computer literate skills.
