JOB TITLE: PERSONAL BANKER

JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Personal Banker to join our team and play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with our business clients. To market the Bank’s products through pro-active and consultative approaches with the aim of acquiring profitable new Banking business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Growth
- Acquisition of profitable new clients to achieve defined sales targets in liabilities and assets to grow market share in line with the bank’s strategic direction.
- Grow and develop a clean customer Data Base in line with the overall objectives and targets of the Bank by compiling monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the purposes of measuring growth against the target.
- Drive the deposit growth and ensure the loan accounts are funded.
- Address walk-in NTB Clients (any segment) sales needs, pull generated from catchment campaigns and word of mouth.
- Activate NTB clients, and set up and educate clients on remote channel usage i.e. Internet banking, Fast pay, contact centre, ATM.
Relationship Management
- One of the primary responsibilities of a Personal Banker is to analyse the financial health of the company, assess its current and future financial needs, and offer tailored solutions to address those needs.
- Recommend changes required to meet target customers’ expectations whilst fully in compliance with Bank policies.
- Analyse and monitor market trends, interpret customer requests and provide integrated product solutions to customer needs in line with the bank’s policies and procedures and make appropriate recommendations for banks’ product development.
- Review and maintain a comprehensive database of existing relationships/prospects and establish mechanisms for maintaining existing customers.
Product and Service Offerings
- Market bank’s products in all sectors of the Ugandan market in line with the defined bank segments, set targets, and bank’s strategic objectives
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote the bank’s various products and services to clients though eco system
Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment
- Review applications for a credit facility (in line with the Bank’s policy) and make appropriate recommendations/decisions.
- Manage assigned credit portfolio and monitor the quality of existing credit relationships.
- Initiate and carry out recovery action on non-performing credit facilities on assigned accounts.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of analyse financial statements, review credit histories, and assess the overall risk associated with lending to a particular business.

Minimum Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in any Business-related field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in credit sales preferable.
