Role Description

This is an on-site internship role for a Sales and Marketing Intern at FortiBanc Group (U) LTD in Kampala. The Sales and Marketing Intern will be responsible for:

  • Distribute flyers, talk to people in public spaces or post online about the company’s services and products
  • Explain the company’s products and services to potential customers
  • Collect leads or contact information from interested customers
  • Represent the company at marketing campaigns, events and promotions
  • Provide daily/weekly sales reports
  • Cross check daily customer transactions and reconcile withe the line manger
  • Meet daily / monthly targets and beyond
  • Maintain professional conduct while representing the company
  • Client acquisition and prospecting; generating new daily customers and following up the old ones
  • Sales pitching and negotiation; providing extended information about Fortibanc group products and services ensuring to close the sale
  • Be the ears and eyes of Fortibanc group in the field and report back any relevant feedback to your line manager either verbally or written.
  • Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong long term relationships with customers to facilitate repeat customers and referrals

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Good conduct and trustworthy
  • Flexible and a team player
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of financial services is a plus
  • At least one year experience in sales and marketing or relevant field
  • At least A level minimal qualification
  • Should possess a smartphone
