SINOPEC International Petroleum Service Co. (Uganda) Ltd is currently engaged in the construction of onshore facilities for the production, storage, and export of heavy and waxy crude oil through a Central Processing Facility (CPF), in partnership with McDermott, under the Tilenga EPSC project led by Total Energies E&P Uganda. Additionally, we are developing muttiple Well Pads, associated Rowines, and pipeline systems. Job Title: NDT Coordinator
Main Responsibilities
Coordinates and supervises all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities across the project, ensuring testing operations are conducted in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and quality procedures.
Acts as the technical liaison between the construction team, third-party NDT agencies, and QA/QC management.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of NDT coordination experience in oil & gas or industrial construction projects.
Holding valid NDT Level I| or Ill certifications (RT, UT, MT, PT) in accordance with ISO 9712 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, SAW), defect characterization, and repair procedures.
Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and project-specific codes.
