Tesla Technical Services Limited has been in existence for the last 11 years and it has deals in Water Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering and General Supplies.
It has a water Project commencing in June in Moyo and we are looking for suitable candidates to fill in the following positions as attached:
CIVIL ENGINEER -PIPEWORKS(1)
The core function is to be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of pipeline systems.
1. Design and Planning:
• Develop detailed designs for pipeline systems, including layout plans and specifications.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate representations of pipeline routes and structures.
2. Project Management:
• Oversee all phases of pipeline projects from conception through completion.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to ensure timely project delivery.
3. Field Inspections:
• Conduct on-site inspections to assess the progress of construction work.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during the installation process.
4. Technical Documentation:
• Prepare technical reports and documentation required for regulatory compliance.
• Review client specifications and ensure that all engineering practices meet industry standards.
5. Co-ordination:
• Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate project activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding project updates, challenges, and solutions.
6. Research and Development:
• Stay updated on new technologies in pipeline construction methods.
• Conduct research using field data to improve operational efficiency.
Educational Background and Skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential.
• Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of experience in pipeline engineering or related areas.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, fluid dynamics, and relevant engineering software tools.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during design or construction phases effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Good computer skills.
• High security awareness.
• Excellent team player.
