Tesla Technical Services Limited has been in existence for the last 11 years and it has deals in Water Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering and General Supplies.
It has a water Project commencing in June in Moyo and we are looking for suitable candidates to fill in the following positions as attached:
COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN ENGINEER (1 Position)
1. Design Development: Create detailed 2D and 3D models of products, systems, and structures; creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
2. Design Analysis: Analyze designs for functionality, performance, and manufacturability.
3. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams,integrating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings that requires that.
4. Design Optimization: Refine designs to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturability.
5. Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages and delivering them to the correct contact promptly.
6. Providing support to the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings work; And managing changes or Alterations in the drawings.
7. Critically review and check the drawings for errors, before being sent to project managers and clients in case there are changes.
8. Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
9. Organizing and uploading drawings to web-based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project and subcontractors.
10. Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects.
Educational Background and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar CAD engineering role within the construction industry
• Proven experience using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for creating 2D and 3D construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and architectural standards
• Proficiency in additional design software programs relevant to construction.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate and dimensionally correct drawings.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of construction processes, site work, and technical drawing standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
