Tesla Technical Services Limited has been in existence for the last 11 years and it has deals in Water Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering and General Supplies.
It has a water Project commencing in June in Moyo and we are looking for suitable candidates to fill in the following positions as attached:
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ENGINEER (2 Positions)
1. Design, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in water supply projects.
2. Oversee the selection and installation of equipment, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
3. Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues during project execution.
4. Documentation: Maintaining accurate documentation is essential for compliance with industry standards. Electromechanical Engineers create detailed records of designs, tests conducted, modifications made, and maintenance performed.
5. Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all designs meet safety regulations is critical. This includes conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures within their projects.
6. Collect design and operational data of the existing electro mechanical equipments or systems and review their operational performances, and make recommendations for the operational efficiency improvements.
7. Prepare designs and specifications, as well as cost estimates for all remedial actions recommended for the operational efficiency improvements, and submit reports seeking approval to proceed.
8. Preparation of the technical specifications and bill of quantities are to be incorporated to the electromechanical equipments to be procured under the projects.
9. Carry out electromechanical equipment / systems installation designs, installation plans and supervise the drafting of the design drawings.
10. Verifications of imported electro mechanical equipment at projects site for specification compliance.
11. Supervision of installation of the electro mechanical equipments / systems ensuring the works are carried out as per the design specifications and contracts administrations of installation works.
12. Checking and certifying of contractor’s progress payment claims in respect of electro mechanical items.
13. Project implementation coordination with the Government and other project stakeholders.
14. · Testing and commissioning of electro mechanical equipment / systems on completion of installations, and the preparation of the commissioning and client’shand-over reports.
15. Prepare works progress reports and contract close-out reports.
16. Training of the water corporation staff on operation and maintenance tasks, and records keeping.
17. Review the electromechanical assets / systems operational performances produce reports.
18. Reconciliation of imported electro mechanical equipments on completion of project as directed byProject Manager.
Educational Background and skills
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of electromechanical experience including at least 3 years experience in design and implementation of electromechanical equipments of urban water supply schemes.
• Knowledge of World Bank regulations, rules, policies, procedures and practices is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Must be fluent in English, written and oral.
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude and problem-solving approach.
• Commitment, flexibility and willingness to work in a highly motivated team of professionals.
• Well organized, ability to work in a team to achieve the team goals.
